Transatlantic Environment Dialogue (TAED)
Protecting the Environment The Environment Dialogue TAED, which was inaugurated in May 1999, presented recommendations to US and EU leaders at the EU-US summit in Lisbon in May 2000, on the key themes of TAED concern, climate change and protection; food and agriculture, including biotechnology; trade and environment issues; threats to bio-diversity; and chemicals policy. The TAED suspended operations in November 2000 citing the failure of the US Government to supply its share of funding.
